After they have gone....

After They Have Gone.....

Strong feelings such as guilt, regret, relief, disbelief, anger, numbness and physical pain can follow the death of a much-loved pet, I can personally vouch for that.  All these emotions and many more are completely natural. Still, they can take us by surprise and leave us wondering about our sanity and ability to carry on.

I cannot say that I completely understand your unique personal feelings because we are individual in how we feel, think and believe, but I do understand the strength of reaction you can have to this sad, sad time. I too, have lost those special beings who I thought would always be there.

Children need particular consideration and ways of explaining because they can react differently from adults.

In this section there are links to helpful literature, grief counselling and other forms of help: I have deliberately left much that I could write out, because these link you to  advice and help from experts with far greater experience and abilities in this field than my own.

Please remember that you are not alone and seek some help if and when you may need it. It isn't a sign of weakness, but of the strong and deep bond we pet-owners have with our best friends and companions.

It is our intention to set up a gallery where we would welcome you to post a picture, poem or testimonial in memory of your own dear pet. Please feel free to email me a photo.

I would also welcome comments on how you experienced our service and this site because I always want to improve what I do for both you and yours.

A proportion of our profits will go towards The Blue Cross charity, who do such a sterling job in bereavement support and animal rescue.
